Abel Furlán is recognized in Argentina as one of the pioneers in positioning Malbec globally and elevating the wines of Mendoza to international quality standards.

He has worked as head winemaker for over 40 years, contributing to various wine projects and has also been a trainer for several generations of new winemakers, sharing his knowledge as a professor of Oenology at prestigious universities in Mendoza.

Growing up among the vineyards of La Consulta, San Carlos, he quickly understood that wine quality begins in the land. Drawing from his extensive experience in various wineries across Argentina and South America, he worked with different Malbec stocks and clones, driven by an unquenchable thirst for learning and innovation to achieve the highest standards of quality.

During this period, our production was focused exclusively on a super-premium Malbec from Gualtallary. Later, our wine portfolio started to expand, introducing new grape varieties and formerly unexplored areas of the Uco Valley, which conferred our wines greater elegance and complexity.

As time passed, the concept of a family winery gained momentum, as his wife Keli became integral to the strategic development of the project and their children Marcos, Pablo and Darío joined the enterprise. They contributed the knowledge gained from their studies in winemaking, accounting and finance and agricultural engineering, as well as their work experience in international wineries across the USA, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Peru. They were finally joined by Jimena, the youngest, who brought in the necessary touch of freshness and her knowledge and experience as a marketing and communications professional.

Since then, we have never ceased to source the finest products from our lands, remaining steadfast in our values, identity and commitment to leaving a lasting family legacy for future generations of winemakers.
